Little Red Desk {Before & After}

Yesterday, I mentioned the color theme for the month of August at The Changing Season is red.

Now, most of you know that red isn't really my thing.

I like white.

I like blue.

I even like black.

Red?

Eh.

Not so much.

I got this little stationary desk a month ago 

off our local Facebook For Sale page.

And I had to drive an hour to get it.

Wasn't my smartest idea, but I liked the clean lines.

She was dated to be sure.

A little scuffed.

A little scratched.

But she had much potential.

And I was pleasantly surprised 

after slapping two coats of 

ASCP Emperor's Silk on her.

And adding some scrapbook paper to her drawer.

Even the original hardware 

looked better against the red.

Yes, I'm definitely liking red.

I'm a convert.

What a difference some color makes!
