Today, I am so excited to share another
of my all-time favorite Bloggers with you.
This girl is smart.
She's sassy.
She's hilarious.
And she is super talented.
And her hubby, Brawn, is a STUD.
(Show Brawn that, Bliss! HA HA HA!)
She has done some makeovers that are beyond awesome.
And Bliss is one of the nicest, sweetest, most sincere people you'll ever meet.
(Are you blushing yet, Bliss???)
And in true Bliss style, her post made me die laughing.
I won't keep you waiting any longer, so...
It's all yours, Bliss!

To Laura's Followers:
Now on to my guest post......
Thank you for thinking highly enough of me to do a guest post on your blog. I'll try not to mess up or scare any of your followers away. Since it's been hotter than hades here
and I hate working in the garage smelling like a sweaty armpit, eyes glazed over from heat exhaustion, I decided not to do a special project for my guest post and just type from the comfort of my air conditioned home. Instead I'm going to play a little game with you called WWLD? I seem to be a fan of WW's (what would's). When I look at a furniture piece I ask myself WWBD? (what would blogland do), so today at your house in honor of your auction skills, we are going to play What Would Laura Do? I will include pictures of my growing stock pile of junk, then Laura, you add the transformation vision you have. Easy.
First up this chair.
I paid a buck for it at a sale.
It came from the the Minnesota state capitol.
The guy selling it wasn't a wood worker and if you look at the lower arm you can see it has a split in it. Easy fix for the Brawn of the operation at my house.

So Laura, visualize it is now fixed, WWLD to complete it?
Next we have this table.
It had a free sign on the side of the road and came with 100 daddy long legs.
Grossed. Me. Out.
There is a drop side, a missing drop side and a leaf, but that too is easily fixed by a master at tool manipulation, so tell me, WWLD with this little farm beauty?
This little half round table was from an estate sale.
$5.00 and I have a plan for it, but maybe your idea is better.
WWLD?
WWLD?
The dresser below was a find this week.
I paid $20 for it, which is driving me nuts.
I've gotten used to free dressers to transform like this one, and this one.
$20 bucks seems like a lot now!

Give me a vision oh wise one, WWLD?
This little desk has a funny story.
I'll tell it after it has been transformed.
It was $1.00 and I almost left it. I didn't need it for goodness sakes.
Raw wood, and as you can see if something goes in our garage it is immediately considered counter space to pile junk on. It might just be my next project because there is someone near and dear to me who does need it.
So keeping in mind it's small stature, WWLD?
And because I know how you love to sew, in fact I think you and I could be the new faces for Singer sewing machines, (NOT) what would Laura do with all these little fabric samples that were .25¢ each this week? Unfolded size is approx. 18"x21". I'm thinking noodle wreath like Fox Hollow Cottage.
But what WWLD, she might have a better idea?
I can't forget this table.
I've seen similar ones on some of my favorite blogs and they really make them look nice. Any option would be good because no matter what happens to it, I still don't have a spot for it in my house. I've considered screwing that drawer thing on it ... or not? The drawer thing is as heavy as all get out - $10.00 and the table was $7.00.
WWLD?
This is just a drop in the bucket of the crap treasures
now taking over the garage.
I either have to start my own Prairie Patina like Laura (cool name, huh?) or try craigslist or something, but all of this can't live here when it's 20 below zero and I want to park in my garage.
So if Laura's dear followers have ideas I'd also love to hear 'em.
Thank you for the invite Miss Prairie Home,
I'm comfortable in your house.
If I bring all my projects would you complete them while I cook and clean for your family?
************************************
Leave it to Bliss, to show up with some off the wall post.
LMBO!
What's hilarious is, I have three of the same pieces sitting out in the shop and I have NO CLUE what to do with them.
I have the first table.
The first dresser.
And the last table.
Never even thought about screwing a drawer underneath it.
Hmmmmmm...
And here I am usually asking myself two questions
when I set to work on a piece.
The first?
WWSD?
(What would Shannon do?)
The second?
WWBD?
(What would Bliss do?)
Because what Bliss didn't show you were THESE
awesome projects that she cranked out.
Now THIS is creativity!
Rock n Roll Boys Dresser
Kodak Dresser
Coffee Sack Pillows
TV Cabinet with Concrete Top
Libation Station
Uh-huh.
And she says she needs my help.
I think NOT.
I love you, Bliss.
MWAH!
You just keep doing what you're doing and
keep knocking the socks off of everyone in blogland!
Everyone can find Bliss and all of her awesome projects HERE.
And you will not be disappointed, I promise!
Next up, tomorrow?
The famous Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage!
Stay tuned!
