Showing Some School Spirit

We're huge black and gold fans around here.

We root for Iowa.
(Even though when, like this year, it's hard to root).

And we root for the W-SR Go Hawks.

With 3 boys in 3 sports
black and gold has pretty much taken over my entire wardrobe.

Why not put a little on the Christmas tree too?

Yep.

I decided to make a school spirit ornament.

Although, as hard as I tried, I couldn't get a really good picture of the interior because of the reflection.

For filler...

Black and white beads with a yellow curl of ribbon.

Hanging from embroidery thread in the center, the letters:
WSR with a black bead in between each letter.

The topper is covered with polka-dotted Washi tape and a yellow ribbon tied in a bow.

Seriously, there are no end to the uses of Washi tape!

Just a cute, fun ornament for our tree.

Because...

Got school spirit.

Yes We Do!

Got school spirit.

How 'bout you?

And on that note...

Tomorrow begins wrestling season for the boys.

Wish Ian and Noah luck!

:)

Dream Big,

  1. Hello! I just found your blog through Brenda's link and I love it already and am adding you to my reader! I noticed below that you said it was o.k. to pin crafts and furniture makeovers. Is it o.k. to pin pictures in general, such as pictures of your rooms? I love how you decorate and would love to pin a few things!

  2. I can't even think of crafting, I am so far behind in laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, sleep. I need a mini me.
