No Excuses. Life's Busy.

Hi, y'all.

And Happy New Year!

I hope y'all all had a wonderful holiday season!

I cannot believe that it's been over a month since I blogged last!

I've gotten e-mails and comments on the Facebook page asking me where I've been.

How sweet of those people to take the time to say they miss me!

I miss y'all too!

I'm just soooooooo busy!

I've been doing this:

With Freshman basketball practices five days a week and
if he's not practicing, there are games.

I've been doing this:

with practices four nights a week and Wednesday at 6:30 am...

When there's not a junior high meet.

And then there's this:

Youth club practice three nights a week, plus weekend tourneys and team duals.

Plus, he practices with a super club which takes me further away
from home than the regular club practices used to do.

And on top of all that, add wrestling practice for Landon twice a week,
gymnastics for Eva on Mondays, with volleyball practice beginning this Sunday.

I know, I know.

I can't complain if I allow them to compete,
but how do you say yes to one and no to another?

Answer:  You don't.

So, with further responsibility of running our home,
being the Volunteer Co-Coordinator for our wrestling club,
as well as Secretary of our wrestling board, something had to give.

And that, for now, is blogging.

Don't get me wrong...

I've done a few things.

Like a little Christmas vignette in the living room:

with brown paper packages...

and a little live Norfolk pine decorated with jute twine and cookie cutters...

but I just didn't have time to blog about it.

We just got back Sunday night from Noah wrestling in the Iowa State Duals with our club,
after being gone the entire weekend.

Then the polar whatever came through the Midwest
and we were dealing with sub-zero temps
that left us with no water and frozen pipes...

(-55* wind chill temps will do that to ya.)

Until it unfroze and I had a pretty spectacular waterfall flowing
from my kitchen ceiling.

So, now we're dealing with that.

No excuses.

My life is insane.

Hopefully, I can find time to blog here and there
as we do stuff to the house.

But, for now...

I'm on a little hiatus and missing you all!

And I hope to get back soon!

But, for now...

My focus is my family and just maintaining sanity.

And don't you know I'm loving every minute of it,
even if it's non-stop!

So, here's a little peek of how I spend my weekends...

And pretty much what my life is consumed with right now.

But know that I am missing you guys A LOT!

Until life settles down a bit...
